Smile Characteristics

The “Abari Smile”

Everyone wants a great smile.  But straight teeth alone don’t create an ideal smile.  The creation of your ideal smile is a work of art which balances your teeth, your skeleton and oral muscular function.

Please look at these photographs and observe the defining characteristics of an ideal “Abari” smile.

Smile arc

  • Edges of upper teeth rest lightly on lower lip
  • Correct amount of teeth showing along the lip line
  • Gingival (gum) tissues are not prominent

Naturalized arch form

  • Broad smile with the teeth filling the mouth but not appearing too wide or too narrow
  • No dark areas between the teeth and the cheeks
  • Front teeth are not flared forward or inclined backward
  • Teeth are balanced between the lips and the tongue
  • Symmetrical

Profile

  • Nose, lips and chin are in balance without prominence of
    lips or a “dished-in” appearance

Musculature

  • Tongue is positioned properly for speech and swallowing
  • Speech functions are relaxed
  • Lips support swallowing and do not exert excessive pressure
    on the teeth

When you look carefully you’ll see:  It’s more than straight teeth, it’s the “Abari Smile”.  Let us create one for you!
